The Yin Side of Yoga
Yin yoga is the calming, restorative counterpart to the “yang” of a powerful Vinyasa practice. In this practice postures are held for a longer period, generally 3 to 5 minutes (gradually built over time). Staying in the poses for this extended time intensifies and deepens the stretch, which is supported by props (block, bolster, pillow, blanket) to prevent overstretching. Yin yoga will help increase your mobility and flexibility, as well as work deeply into the connective tissues of the body, leaving you with a feeling of calm and relaxation as you begin or end your day.
In compliance with Covid-19 restrictions, we are not able to provide any props. In addition to your mat please bring a block and a bolster, pillow, or blanket.
